The artists could be Alvan Fisher, himself, and his friend
Thomas Doughty, painted posthumously.
Fisher and Doughty had studios a few blocks away in Boston in 1826. They
sketched together in the White Mountains and often stayed at Thompson's "Kiarsage"
Inn in North Conwy.
