Peter Roos (1850-1919)

Peter Roos was a landscape painter and teacher whose last known address was 24 Sacramento Street, Cambridge, Massachusetts.  He was born in Sweden on February 22, 1850.  He came to the United States in 1872.  Many of his paintings were of the western part of America.  For twenty-three years he was director of the Cambridge Public School’s Art Program.

He was a member of the Boston Art Club.  He exhibited in Boston in 1874 and was awarded a medal.  His specialty was landscape painting.
