Allen Tucker (1866-1939)

Allen Tucker studied at Columbia University.  He was both an architect and a painter.  He had residences in New York City and Castine, ME.

Tucker was one of the founders of the Association of American Painters and Sculptors, which organized the 1913 Armory Show in New York City.  He taught at the Art Students League from 1920 to 1928.

He exhibited widely, including the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts during the years 1904 to 1939.

Amherst College has an oil on canvas by Tucker titled Mount Chocorua.
